Privacy

The short version: this site does not track you. No analytics, no advertising, no profile, nothing sold or shared. What follows is the detail, written from what the code actually does.

What is collected when you visit

Nothing that identifies you. Browsing this site sets no cookies, loads no analytics or advertising scripts, and builds no profile of you or your visit.

The fonts are served from this site itself. They are compiled in at build time, so reading a page here does not cause a request to Google or to any other font host.

Server logs and rate limiting

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps ordinary server logs of requests: the page requested, the time, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. That is a normal part of running a web server and is handled under Vercel’s privacy policy.

The site also rate-limits requests, which it does by holding IP addresses in memory for ten minutes and then discarding them. They are not written to a database and are not used for anything else.

Tracking parameters that other sites attach to links (things like utm_, fbclid and gclid) are stripped from the address before the page loads, rather than being read.

Things stored on your device

One thing, in one place. The contact surface at /hello remembers which card was last shown, in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Links away from here

The front door and the Connect station link out to Discord, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn. Those are other companies’ sites with their own policies, and following a link there puts you under theirs rather than this one. No embeds from those services run on this site, so none of them can see you unless you click.

What is never done

  • Nothing about you is sold, rented or traded.
  • No advertising network, tracking pixel or social embed runs on this site.
  • You are not followed across other websites.
  • No marketing email is sent. There is no mailing list to join.

Asking about any of this

If you want to know what is held about you, or want something removed, the ways to reach me are on the contact card and on the front door. Because visiting this site stores nothing that identifies you, in almost every case the honest answer will be that there is nothing to show you or delete.

If this page and the code ever disagree, the code is what is actually happening and this page is the bug. Say so and it gets fixed.
